Summary
LobbyGuard requires specific connections for all features of the product to work. If access to all the required ports inbound/outbound and addresses are not achieved then your LobbyGuard product will not be able to function as intended. There is also a minimum bandwidth and maximum ping/jitter required. Customer units that are provided with a network connection that do not meet the minimum requirements may experience stalling or freezing issues, the inability to connect, or long wait times while data is being sent and received. If you do not meet such requirements, please contact your internal help desk team or Network Administrator, as LobbyGuard Solutions will be unable to assist.
Resolution
In order to ensure that your LobbyGuard product will function as intended please provide full access to the following:
Ports (Inbound and Outbound)
- Software version 5.x and newer
- 80
- 443
- 389 (required only if using your own internal Active Directory LDAP server)
Addresses
- Software version 5.x and newer
- *LobbyGuard.net
- *LobbyGuard.com
- raptor.beyondtrustcloud.com
Bandwidth
- Download Speed - The average download speed must be at least 10Mbps
- Upload Speed - The average upload speed must be at least 1.5Mbps
Ping
- The average ping time against the addresses above, or any large-scale public websites or DNS servers, must be below 100ms. Response times above this may cause an ability to use the product as the data will be unable to be sent to or received from the server environments.
Jitter
- Jitter is the variance in successive ping measurements. A perfectly stable connection would have no jitter. The average jitter time against the addresses above, or any large-scale public websites or DNS servers, must be below 25ms. Network "content filters" and "proxy servers" may greatly affect this component, and should be disabled on every unit running the LobbyGuard software.
