This Setup Guide will provide you with the steps needed to get your LobbyGuard SL operational as quickly as possible. Please carefully follow the steps outlined in this guide to insure your kiosk is properly installed and functional.

Before you begin…
Prior to unpacking your LobbyGuard SL kit you should prepare the area where you will be placing the kiosk. Please reference the LobbyGuard SL SiteSurvey document available here for complete instructions on what is needed in terms of physical space, power, internet connectivity and other important considerations.
Step 1: Check Package Contents
Verify the following items are present in the shipping box:
- Printer
- Zebra DS457
- Logitech C525
Unpack the items in the Dymo printer shipping box:
You should find the following (from top left):
- Printer
- Printer power cable
- Printer USB cable
- Printer power supply (packaged in small box)
Step 2: Printer Setup
Remove all plastic wrapping and packing material from the printer, including any paper or badge stock on the inside of the printer.
Unpack the printer power supply and USB cable from the box in which it is packaged and plug it into the port located on the bottom of the printer as shown below. Remove per-inserted badge by pulling black lever forward to release.

Place the printer on a flat surface. Attach the printer power cable to the printer power supply and plug the printer power cable into a standard wall outlet. The front light on the printer should illuminate blue to indicate power on.
Open the lid of the printer to gain access to the spool
Lift the spool up and towards you to remove from the lid
Pull on right side of spool to remove wheel
Load roll of badges onto spool with badges feeding from the bottom of the roll and re-attach wheel
Place spool back into lid
Insert first badge into the printer feed slot
Press the blue button on the front of the printer twice. A badge should feed through the printer, indicating successful loading of badges. Tear this badge free and dispose and close the printer lid.
Step 3: Attach the printer, webcam, and license scanner to your PC using the available USB ports.
Your setup should look similar once you have connected the peripherals.
Step 4: Install the LobbyGuard software on your Win7/Win8 OS
Visit www.lobbyguard.com/schedule if you have not yet done so to schedule a day and time of your installation with a LobbyGuard Installation Specialist to provide phone & web-based assistance. You will receive a response from LobbyGuard with the scheduled date and time of your installation. If you have already scheduled an install date you will be contacted on the day/time for which was agreed upon.

NEXT STEP: LOBBYGUARD BASIC TRAINING
You have completed the setup and installation of your LobbyGuard SL. Your next step is to visit the LobbyGuard Training Center and undergo LobbyGuard Basic Training. This training will cover everything you need to know to get started with the LobbyGuard product and is available as a self-training module or as a scheduled webinar. It is very important that you obtain training before you proceed with use of your LobbyGuard product.
