Please follow the instructions below to verify all the preset settings for your LobbyGuard Optio are correct.
- Remove UAC (User Access Control)
Click on the start button in the bottom left corner. Then type in UAC in the search option and set the slider to the bottom option.
- Install the latest Windows Updates
Click on the start button in the bottom left corner and go to settings. From there click on Update & Security and click on the Check for updates box. The machine will then automatically download and install any updates.
- Turn off Firewall Settings and Firewall Notifications
Click on the start button in the bottom left corner and type in "Control Panel". Click on Windows Firewall and click on "Turn windows Firewall on or off" on the left side of the window. Then select "Turn off Windows Firewall" for both private and public networks and click OK.
- Give LobbyGuard Folder Permissions (Users and Everyone)
Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and right click on the LobbyGuard folder. Click on Properties and click on the Security tab at the very top. Make sure the LobbyGuard account and the "Everyone" account has full access.
- Change all power settings to Never and create a new power plan named (LobbyGuard) max settings
Click on the start button in the bottom left corner and type in "Power Options" and then press the enter key. Make sure it is set to the "High Performance" or "LobbyGuard".
- Change what pressing the power button does, setting it to Nothing and Disable Fast Start-up
Click on the start button in the bottom left corner and type in "Power Options" and then press the enter key. On the left side of the window will be an option called "Choose what the power button does". Click on it and verify the "When I press the power button" and "When I close the lid" options are set to Do Nothing. Below is also an option called "Turn on fast startup" Make sure that is unchecked. If the option is greyed out, look near the top of the window and click on the option that says "Change settings that are currently unavailable" and it will allow you to uncheck the option. Make sure then to click on save changes.
- Disable Battery Saver Settings
Click on the start button and click on the gear icon called "Settings". Then click on System. On the left should be an option called "Battery". Make sure "Turn battery save on automatically if my battery falls below" option is unchecked.
- Change Screen Resolution to 1440x900 and set Zoom to 100%
Click on the start button and click on the gear icon called "Settings". Then click on System. On the left should be an option called "Display". Make sure the zoom option is set to 100% and the resolution is set to either 1440x900 or 1280x800.
